Since 1995, investment of considerable resources has enabled many studies and research initiatives to plug the gaps in our environmental knowledge of the area. We have greatly increased our understanding of potential environmental sensitivities to oil and gas operations, as this approach has enabled wide area surveys of a scale far in excess of that achievable by any individual company.
